Prestigious Victorian renovation chooses Smith’s

37-rossington-hallThe Client
Victorian, Grade 2 listed Rossington Hall, a 250-acre highly sought-after luxury wedding venue in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, being renovated over a three-year programme, begun in 2011.

The Challenge
One of the biggest challenges was how to heat such a large building that also hosts such large rooms. With a ballroom, large rooms converted to bedrooms and ample living and dining rooms, the challenge was how to provide warmth precisely when it was needed. The rooms are only used occasionally, given the nature of the venue. It was essential that the temperature and the controls could be managed easily and quickly, both providing warmth and responsiveness with immediate effect.

The Solution
The client was seeking a brand that would not only do the job but support him throughout the installation process and provide a strong element of after sales care.

The Products
Smith’s Caspian High fan convectors were the best heating solution for the large spaces found all around Rossington Hall, able to blend in with their surroundings and painted to suit their environment or installed to be hidden from view. The low surface temperature (LST) surface of the Caspian also lends itself to a venue where a wide range of ages regularly come through the doors. Caspian fan convectors are compatible with all types of wet central heating systems. Whether connected to a conventional boiler or renewable technology, such as ground and air source heat pumps, they function equally efficiently. As with all Smith’s products, the Caspians come with a free five-year warranty.
