0-lemur-ringtail-336pxThe Client
Blackpool Zoo is a major attraction in the North West of England, located two miles from the famous Blackpool Golden Mile. The site was originally an airport and then home to the Royal Lancashire Show, with Blackpool Zoo founded in 1972.

The Challenge
The Estates Manager was in charge of the build of new training rooms to hold 200 people at a time, for use with zoo employees, school visits and corporate clients.

The Solution
Five of Smith’s Ecovector® High 4000s were installed to provide flexible heating for the whole room. The ability to site the heaters high on the wall, instead of the floor, and yet still connect to the Zoo’s boiler, was a real advantage.

The Products

This light commercial project was perfect for Smith’s Ecovector® High. This Smith’s fan convector provides effective and dependable heating for both small and large commercial areas and is installed unobtrusively above head height. Like all Smith’s fan convectors, the Ecovector® High is compatible with all types of wet central heating systems and carries less than 5% of the water content of the same output radiator, making them extremely responsive. Whether connected to a conventional boiler or renewable technology, such as ground and air source heat pumps, they function equally efficiently. As with all Smith’s products, the Ecovector® High come with a free five-year warranty for parts and labour.
