We are delighted to announce that from the 1st July 2020 our employed salesteam will return from furlough. They join our sales agents and our internal teams who have been working throughout the COVID 19 lockdown to ensure we were able to provide our customers with the level of support they expect of Smith’s.
Over the past few weeks, we have experienced a significant increase in the number of enquiries and orders for our products. Being a UK manufacturer, we have been able to fulfil these orders, often at very short notice, to ensure that our customers can fulfil their commitments to their customers. We will also be reducing the number of production staff on furlough with a phased return starting in July to further restore our manufacturing capacity as demand for our products increases.
We have implemented new working guidelines in line with Government advice to maintain the safety of our staff and customers. We will continue to monitor the advice from the Government and healthcare experts to ensure their continued safety.
